Straddle, pancake, middle splits? What's the difference? 🤯⁣⁣⁣⁣

A straddle is a stretch where your legs are out to your body's left and right sides.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ A pancake 🥞 is a straddle, but with the torso facing towards the ground. The knees should generally be facing up towards the ceiling. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ In a middle split (also known as a box split), knees should generally be facing forward.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Regarding the direction the knees point, I say "generally" because a middle split can look quite different from person to person, so naturally, there will be varying degrees of difference for each body. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣

Once I really honed in on the difference between each stretch, I understood aerial movement so much better! Hopefully, this post was helpful to you :) 🤗⁣⁣ ⁣ Comment below to share your thoughts! ⁣
