Training

Tran, the BendyEducator, has been training circus arts since 2014 and specializes in aerial arts (primarily silk, rope, lyra), contortion, hand-balancing, and German Wheel. She trained at the Circus Academy of Tucson and has taken classes from instructors from all over the world to learn best practices that she can pass on to her students.

She has trained under the tutelage of Mongolian contortionists Serchmaa Byambaa and Otgo Waller, Amy Goh, and gymnasts and dancers Allison Schieller, Micah Walters, and Shawn Calendine.

Background

Tran, the BendyEducator, is an educator at heart. She is an experienced contortionist, aerialist, and aspiring hand balancer, she weaves her musicality and creative expression with the knowledge of human anatomy and physiology into her instruction.

When not sharing her knowledge with others or performing stunts upside-down, Tran enjoys indulging in sci-fi series with her husband, journaling, and challenging herself on the soccer field.

Certifications

Tran is a NASM Certified Stretch and Flexibility Coach (NASM - SFC), a Module 2 Alixa Certified Flexibility Instructor, and Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED trained certified.⁠ Additionally, she has taken pre-physical therapy courses in Human Anatomy and Physiology.
